Clinical Intensive Workshops

NCAR specializes in reshaping attachment patterns formed in early relationships that may now hinder a person’s full self-expression. All interventions integrate a psychodynamic approach within the biologically-informed Integrative Regulation Therapy (iRT) framework.
The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you really are.
Carl Jung

Clinical intensive workshops are designed for individuals who may not need ongoing therapy but feel "stuck" and could benefit from short-term, focused interventions. These workshops are held two days per month for three months, with a maximum of three participants per session.

  • New Shoes for Women
This intensive focuses on identifying and transforming restrictive family patterns, empowering women to confidently express their authentic selves, and tapping into their inherent strengths. "New Shoes" is offered in both English and Spanish.
    • New Shoes is divided into three chapters listed below. Each chapter is held on a Thursday and Friday (9:00am-2:00pm) for three months. There is a no-charge follow-up group one month after completion. Workshops are limited to three participants only. Dates are established once participants are selected.
      • Chapter I: The patterns we were born into. Evaluating family patterns that need to be changed.
      • Chapter II: The complexity in speaking Truth. Empowering women to walk (and talk) in their truth.
      • Chapter III: Growing into our superpowers. Helping women find their superpowers.
    • If interested, please contact Maria Ortega, LMFT at [email protected] for a consent form and application. All selected participants will meet with Maria for a short Zoom interaction prior to workshop formal acceptance.

Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did. She just did it backwards and in high heels.
